Asian Beef Lettuce Wraps
For my husband's birthday earlier this month, he requested Asian Beef Lettuce Wraps. These are so much fun to eat. We were inspired by the lettuce wraps at PF Changs, which are absolutely delicious and I definitely recommend trying them. While we tend to eat these for a meal, they would be a perfect party appetizer as well.
Recipe: (Printable Recipe Here)
2 Tbsp sweet chili pepper sauce (found in Asian food section)
1 lb ground beef
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 Lg onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1/4 C hoison sauce (also found in Asian food section)
1 tsp ginger
1 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
8 oz water chestnuts, finely chopped
1 bunch green onions, chopped
2 tsp (dark) sesame oil
Large romaine lettuce leaves
Cook and drain the ground beef. Add all other ingredients to the skillet and cook on med-low until warmed.
Serve on romaine lettuce leaves, placing beef in the middle and rolling the leaf up like a tortilla (as pictured)
